Shirdi

Shirdi is a prominent religious place in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated at a distance of 76 kms from Nashik. Presently this village has turned into the most visited pilgrimage site. Shirdi was the home of Sai Baba, the great saint of the twentieth century; Shirdi is a town in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, 84 km from Ahmednagar; The Sai temple here is one of the wealthiest temples in the world.

Sai Baba is considered an incarnation of God who is worshiped equally by people of both Hindu and Muslim religions. One of the essential things about Sai Baba is "Sabka Malik is one." No, based on devotees, he was born on 28 September 1836 in Pathri village of Maharashtra. There is such a belief that the devotees get cured by simply lighting incense sticks here. Historians say that Sai Baba spent a few nights here during his last years.
